Dragon*Con Art Show Departments
Any art that can be made into a computer image file and meets the technical specifications below can be entered into this department.
Any art purchased from this department will be shipped to the customer after the show.
The amount received for Art on Demand purchases will be distributed as follows:
- Printer - 50%
- Artist - 35%
- Dragon*Con - 15%

All art must be uploaded to the ftp site no later than July 31, 2008
- Details, instructions and passwords will be provided in the artist confirmation package sent out after the jury process
If your Art on Demand submission is of a different proportion than what is specified, it is up to you to create an appropriate 'border' or crop to fit the specified proportions.
- We suggest that you use solid black on dark images and solid white on light images for your 'border'.
- WE WILL NOT POST PROCESS YOUR ART TO FIT THE PRINT!
- Images that do not meet the requirements will not be displayed.
Purchasing Space for Art on Demand
- Each Art on Demand package will permit you to submit up to 10 digital images.
- An artist may purchase up to 4 Art on Demand packages, for a maximum of 40 images.
Art on Demand Sample Image
One sample print may be purchased from the images you submit for Art on Demand.
Sample print will be 22"x28" (landscape or portrait, as required)
Sample print will be available at cost (see application form for available media and costs)
Sample print will be displayed at the Art on Demand booth at Dragon*Con and will be available to take home after the show.
- If you are not attending the show, shipping is available.
All entries in this department will be eligible to participate in the Dragon*Con Art Show On-Line Art on Demand Web Store.
- Customers will be allowed to purchase prints of the submitted artwork for one year after the show.
Checks for any on-line sales will be mailed to the artists before the next Dragon*Con Art Show.
If you choose not to participate in our On-Line Art on Demand Webstore at the end of Dragon*Con, we will delete our copies of your images within 60 days of the end of the show.
- This gives us the necessary time to process and fill orders, and replace items damaged in shipment if necessary.
Dragon*Con warrants that it will make no copies of your image, in any media, beyond those for which orders are placed, except those as may be used in on-site promotion.
Minimum File Size
- 4400 pixels by 5600 pixels at 200 dpi (either portrait or landscape modes)
Maximum File Size
- 50 megabytes
File Type
- RGB format
- LZW compressed TIF formatted files
- JPG formatted images are NOT acceptable
Compressing Files
- The FTP site will only accept files up to 50M in size
- Please use a common compression application (such as WinZip) or an application for which there is a freeware extractor available.
- Please specify the name of the compression application you used.
